Wage Range $6.62/hr - $25.75/hr What does someone in this field do?Dancers use their bodies to express rhythm, stories, and ideas. For dancers, they way they move up and advance takes the form of more frequent work, a growing reputation, bigger and better roles, and increased pay. Some dancers may take on additional duties, such as by becoming a dance captain in musical theater or ballet master/ballet mistress in concert dance companies, by conduct rehearsals, or by working with less experienced dancers when the choreographer is absent.

Many dancers believe that dancers should start with a good foundation in classical technique before selecting a particular dance style.
